There are many ways for alumni to keep in touch with the arts at Emory. Below are helpful links and information for discounts and other opportunities.
Alumni Ticket Discounts
Most campus arts event tickets are sold at a deep discount (usually 20-30% off) to alumni. Click here to browse the events calendar. Click here to e-mail the Arts at Emory box office for discount information for specific events.
Become an Alumni-Level Friend
Emory's six Friends organizations in the arts support Departments of Music, Theater (with Theater Emory), Visual Arts, Film, and Programs in Creative writing and Dance. Members have access to unique opportunities with the groups they select, such as meet-the-artist events and receptions. Additionally, an array of benefits to all Friends includes advance ticket purchase opportunities, access to the Member's Lounge at the September 10th Creativity & Arts Soiree, and discounts on lodging, restaurants, and select Emory Center for Lifelong Learning courses. Friends support the development of new artistic work, underwrite student scholarships for special training, contribute toward instrument purchases, and help sustain other initiatives. The basic membership at a discount for alumni is $35 for theater, dance, creative writing, film, and visual arts, and $45 for music.
How to join or renew a membership:

- Phone: Call 404.727.6200
- Online: Click here to give online. (1) Select "Arts at Emory" from the "Select Direction" menu, (2) Select group from the "Select Fund" menu, and then (3) select membership level. Complete separate transactions to join each group.

Blake Beckham
Blake Beckham earned a BA in English and Dance from Emory in 2001. Upon graduating, she received the Sudler Prize in the Arts and the Dance Program's Pioneer Award. Blake then became the first Rosemary Magee Arts Intern at Emory. During her two year appointment, Blake collaborated with administrators, development officers and faculty members to open the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts on campus. Beckham went on to earn her MFA in Dance from The Ohio State Univesity. She nows works as a choreographer, performer, arts administrator and teacher in Atlanta. Blake is the Development Director for Moving in the Spirit, a nationally recognized dance program serving children in Atlanta's underserved urban neighborhoods. She teaches modern dance and ballet at Agnes Scott College. In addition to serving Emory's CCA, Blake is a board member for Gardenhouse Dance and was named a 2009 "Arts Leader of Metro Atlanta." Beckham enjoys maintaining an active relationship with the Emory community. She created two commissioned dance works for students of the Emory Dance Company in 2008-2009, and recently performed in dance faculty member Anna Leo's concert ...me so much nearer home. Blake credits the Emory faculty with inspiring her career in the field in dance. Her teachers from Emory remain valued collaborators, colleagues and mentors in her life. Angus Galloway
Angus Galloway is an alumnus of Oxford College. He graduated from Emory University in 2000 with a degree in Philosophy and Art History. Angus went on to receive a Masters of Fine Art from Georgia State University where he specialized in drawing, painting, sound-design, and installation. After graduating with his masters he moved to New York and worked as both a sound designer for Eyebeam Art and Technology Center and a photographer and art handler for the James Graham Gallery. Angus left New York in 2007 and currently teaches drawing and painting as a Part-Time Professor for Emory University and an Adjunct Professor for the Art Institute of Atlanta in Decatur. Galloway's work has been featured in national and international exhibitions as well as a variety of publications including, Direct Art Magazine, New York Art, Trigger, and The Atlanta Journal and Constitution. He is a three-time recipient of the Theory, Practice, and Learning Fund Grant at Emory University for lectures and workshops held in the Visual Arts Building. Last year he received the Atlanta Fulton County Office of Cultural Affairs Grant for a sound piece titled Waking for the exhibition A (new) Genre Landscape. He has been a visiting artist at West Georgia College, Parsons The New School of Design, Dennison University, and Georgia State University. This year he exhibited drawings from a collaborative project at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia titled Drawing Correspondence and had a solo show at the Hunt Gallery in Oxford College of Emory University. Amy Rosenberg
Amy Rosenberg is currently the Individual Support Manager at the Alliance Theatre in Midtown responsible for individual donors who give $999 or less. After graduating from Emory in 1993 with a double major in Theatre and Education, Amy started working with the Alliance as a Stage Manager of a touring show. She then worked for the Artistic and Education departments as the Administrative Director of Theatre for Youth doing artistic planning, sales, finance and marketing. In 2002 she began working for the Managing Director and a year later moved to the Development office as the Events Manager where she stayed planning fundraising events until 2006. She has been in her current position for 3 years. She has continued to Stage Manage for fun and works yearly with Jerry's Habima Theatre.

Kathleen Wessel
Kathleen's professional work includes performances at Emory University with choreographer George Staib and Gathering Wild Dance Company under artistic director Jerylann Warner. She has also been a guest artist with the David Dorfman Dance Company and Zoetic Dance Ensemble. As a choreographer, her work has been commissioned by Georgia College and State University, Emory University, Gathering Wild Dance Company and Spelman College. Currently, Kathleen is on faculty in the Department of Drama and Dance at Spelman College.

Saskia Benjamin
Saskia Benjamin graduated from Emory University in 1995 with a double major in Art History and Latin and a minor in Dance. After graduating, Benjamin worked in the exhibitions department at the High Museum of Art helping to organize Rings: Five Passions in World Art during the Atlanta Olympic Games. In 1997, she returned to school for a Masters Degree in Art History with a concentration in Roman art at the University of Southern California where she was also adjunct faculty in the dance department. Upon graduation, Benjamin returned to Atlanta and the High Museum where she worked over the course of several years in the registrars office, as Assistant to the Deputy Director, and Exhibitions Coordinator. In 2004, Benjamin returned to graduate school for a Masters Degree in City and Regional Planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a specialization in Urban Design and an interest in the intersection of arts and city planning. After graduation, Benjamin was hired by the Georgia Conservancy to manage its Blueprints for Successful Communities program, a community-driven planning effort. In early 2009, Saskia Benjamin became the Director of Institutional Advancement at the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center where she oversees fundraising, special events, membership, and strategic initiatives. Until somewhat recently, Benjamin was also very active in Atlanta's dance community having performed over the years with Gardenhouse Dance, Gathering Wild, Emory University, and Coriolis among other companies and choreographers.

Ariel de Man
Ariel de Man is a founding member and Co-Artistic Director of Out Of Hand Theater, where she directs, acts and develops new work. She has directed and acted in 30 Below and Nobody Here But Us Chickens, acted in Stadium 360, Meds, HELP!, Cartoon, Live Nude Bouffons and The VD Show, and directed Big Love, Alcestis, Miss Julie and Indiscretions for Out Of Hand Theater. Other directing credits include Jersey City, Pillars of Society and Scenes from Baal for Theater Emory, Miklat for Jewish Theatre of the South and Vive La Fontaine and Les Precieuses Ridicules for Théâtre du Rêve. She also associate directed Back to Methuselah for Theater Emory and Dissident for Théâtre du Rêve. Acting credits include Dottie in Killer Joe at Actor's Express, Linda in The Left Hand Singing at Arkansas Repertory and at Jewish Theatre of the South, Little Girl in Tomato Plant Girl at Geva Theatre and Debbie in The Real Thing at Theatrical Outfit. Ariel holds a BA in Theater and French, summa cum laude, from Emory University (class of '98), where she received the Lewis Sudler Prize in the Arts and the Friends of Theater Emory Most Valuable Collaborator Award in 1998. She is a temporary faculty member in the Theater Studies Department at Emory. Ariel is a 2004 Finalist for the NEA/TCG Career Development Program for Directors, and a 2009 winner of the Loridans Artist Encouragement Award.
